By decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission) dated August 29, 2023 No. 84, changes were made to the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 029/2012 “Safety requirements for food additives, flavorings and technological aids”, which came into force on February 27 2024
The decision of the Commission Board dated January 23, 2024 No. 8 “On the procedure for enacting changes to the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 029/2012 “Safety requirements for food additives, flavorings and technological aids” provides for a transition period for the application of changes.
Taking into account the significant volume of new, additional requirements, changes in approaches to some requirements of the technical regulations, as well as questions received from industry regarding clarification of the new requirements of CU TR 029/2012, on April 17, 2024, a seminar was held at the Commission site to clarify certain requirements of CU TR 029 /2012.
Information containing answers to questions about the application of certain requirements established by amendments No. 2 to
TR CU 029/2012, agreed upon as a result of the seminar, are posted in the “Current Issues” section of the “Technical Regulation” section on the Commission’s official website on the Internet (https://portal.eaeunion.org/sites/odata/_layouts/15 /portal.eec.registry.ui/registrypstrqa.aspx) .
Issues not addressed at the first seminar and additional ones will be considered on July 25, 2024 at 10.00 at the second outreach seminar planned by the Commission (summary table).
The event will be held in videoconference format and in person from the Gosstandart site.
