On November 22, the Polotsk CSMS hosted an excursion for members of the Sokol military-patriotic club from Novopolotsk. During the event, the students learned about professional activities in the field of standardization and metrology, learned about qualifications and ways to obtain professional education, and also got acquainted with the work of all departments of the center and performed some operations under the guidance of specialists.
Traditionally, a comparative analysis of food products was carried out by appearance, consistency, aroma, taste and color. A visit to the laboratories of the enterprise's metrological service also aroused interest, where the students learned about the work carried out and the equipment used. The students got acquainted with the process of checking manometers, tonometers, devices for determining alcohol vapor and other measuring instruments. As part of the participation of the Polotsk CSMS in the metrological educational cluster, they were presented with information about specialized education at the Vitebsk State Technological University, and souvenirs and booklets were presented. On October 15, a cooperation agreement was signed between the United Organization of the State Standard, the Belarusian Union of Women, and the local charitable foundation, Young Guard. The Chairman of the State Standard, Elena Mikhailovna Morgunova, emphasized the importance of interaction with military-patriotic clubs, especially in the regions, noting that patriotic education of youth is one of the key tasks of our time.
