Republican action “Safety Day. Attention everyone!”

From March 14 to March 24, the second stage of the republican action “Safety Day. Attention everyone!”.

During March 14 - 18, residents of hostels, labor collectives, visitors to places of mass stay of people will be involved in the action. Also during the action, quizzes will be held on the radio, and thematic videos of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be broadcast on television, social networks and instant messengers.

Rescuers have prepared a variety of interesting and useful events for the participants of the republican action, during which it will be possible to acquire valuable knowledge on life safety and get in a good mood.

It is also planned to hold events within the framework of this republican action in the Polotsk CSMC.

Recall that in our country it takes place from February 27 to March 24 and is timed to coincide with the World Civil Defense Day.

World Civil Defense Day is celebrated annually on March 1st. It was established by decision of the General Assembly of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) in 1990 in order to draw public attention to the important tasks performed by the national civil defense, civil protection and emergency response services. Often the name of this holiday is translated differently: World Civil Protection Day.

Today in Belarus, the Ministry of Emergency Situations deals with civil defense issues. More than 1.5 thousand events are held annually to prepare the population for actions in emergency situations and military conflicts - these are exercises, training camps, seminars, competitions, etc. This knowledge is also useful in everyday life when helping people in trouble.

Events of the action of the Ministry of Emergency Situations “Safety Day. Attention everyone!” aimed at training the population to act in response to the signal "Attention to all!" and life safety rules. The first stage was held from February 27 to March 10, the main attention was paid to educational institutions.
