On March 2, 2023, an excursion to the enterprise was held for students of grades 8-9 of secondary school No. 15 in Novopolotsk

With the entry of the Polotsk CSMS into the metrological educational Cluster, formed by the Vitebsk State Technological University in 2022, study tours for schoolchildren in Polotsk and Novopolotsk are held at the enterprise quite often.

During the tour, students were able to discover a new area of professional activity, learned about such areas as "standardization", "metrology", "certification", got acquainted with the work of all departments of the center, tried to perform some operations under the guidance of specialists.

One of the most memorable moments of the tour was the organization of cheese and honey tasting in the testing department. The children were offered to conduct a comparative analysis of honey in terms of appearance, texture, aroma, taste and color. The staff of the department shared useful information for the safe selection and purchase of food products, the importance of product labeling and the effect of product expiration dates on the concentration of preservatives in it.

No less interesting was the visit to the laboratories of the metrological service of the enterprise. Here the students got an idea about the types of work carried out, the equipment used. The bureaus of acceptance and issue of instruments, laboratories for the verification of linear-angular, thermal engineering, thermophysical, electromagnetic, mechanical, physical and chemical measuring instruments were demonstrated.

The most interesting for the children were practical activities: participation in the verification of manometers, tonometers, devices for determining alcohol vapor in exhaled air, calipers, micrometers, scales.

The students were informed about the profile education at the Vitebsk State Technological University (VSTU), as a keepsake, the students were given souvenirs and information materials about the Polotsk CSMS and VSTU
