A single Security Day will be held in Belarus on September 26

The main executors of the events of the Unified Security Day are the heads and employees of organizations on the territory of the republic, regardless of their forms of ownership. In turn, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will visit some organizations on this day to provide advice on conducting training sessions on evacuating people from buildings in case of fire.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Belarusian Red Cross Society, rescuers organize thematic training sites for the population in places of mass stay of people. We have prepared an interactive map with their locations, which is located on the official website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as a specialized section with audio and video visual products to help managers and employees of organizations.

The impetus for holding a Single Safety Day was the tragedy at the Winter Cherry shopping center in the Russian city of Kemerovo, where in 2018 60 people died as a result of a fire, 37 of them children, and 79 more were injured.At that time, there was no fire alert and evacuation of visitors in the building. No attempts were made to prevent panic and a stampede formed in the building during the fire. Many people died near the evacuation exit, which was locked. Due to the late notification of the fire, some of the visitors died in one of the cinemas - the escape routes were cut off by the fire.
