In the Polotsk region there are a number of enterprises engaged in the procurement, storage, sale of fruit and vegetable products, for example, LLC Frutreal, UE Polotsk City Procurement Office, the Vesna-energo branch of RUE Vitebskenergo.

The specialists of these organizations know exactly how to preserve the most useful in vegetables and fruits, because in their activities they are guided by the technical regulations TR CU 021/2011 and a number of interrelated standards for the procurement, delivery, storage, and sale of their products.

Together with Polotsk CSMS:
- work is being done to acquire and update standards for products and work performed;
- products are tested at a specified frequency for the content of toxic elements, nitrates, radionuclides, microbiological, parasitological and other studies;
- in a timely manner, the products go through the procedure for confirming compliance by declaration or certification.
