The conference “Through standardization - to mutual understanding and creation” was held on October 12, 2023 in Minsk

Representatives of organizations from various industries, technical committees for standardization, as well as republican government bodies took part in it.

The conference discussed the results and prospects for the development of standardization in Belarus and the EAEU, cooperation in this area with the Russian Federation. A number of presentations were devoted to the role of standards to ensure product quality, meet the needs of the economy and consumers, as well as the introduction of scientific developments to expand the export capabilities of domestic industry.

The speakers were representatives of Gosstandart, BelGISS, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Russian Institute of Standardization, the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Food, and the Belarusian National Technical University.

The conference also included an award ceremony for the winners of the “Best Standardization Specialist” competition, the purpose of which is to increase the authority of standardization specialists and organizations, disseminate best practices, and identify the most professional standardization specialists.

An illustration for the conference was an exhibition of artistic works from the funds of the Museum of History of Minsk, the Belarusian Union of Artists and the National Center for Contemporary Art of the Republic of Belarus.
