The first republican children's creativity competition “Standardization and I” has been announced

The State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus announces in 2023 a republican competition of children's creativity “Standardization and Me.” This competition will be held in our country for the first time.

The initiative is aimed at promoting the development of children's interest in the profession in the field of standardization, education and attracting interest in issues that can be solved with its help, introducing the younger generation to cognitive and research activities, identifying and encouraging young talents.

This year the competition is dedicated to the theme “Standardization and a healthy lifestyle.”

Students of educational institutions of three age categories are invited to participate in it: 6 - 9 years old, 10 - 12 years old and 13 - 16 years old.

The competition is held in the following categories:

– information project (work aimed at education, information, attracting attention to standardization);

– research project (carrying out work to solve current problems through standardization).

Only individual projects will be considered. This can be a drawing, a poster (including advertising); layout; video; an article for publication in the journal “Standardization” or on the official website of Gosstandart; computer project (presentation).

Each project is accompanied by a competition participant information sheet.

A competition participant can take part only with one project and in one nomination.

The conditions of the competition, requirements for projects and participants, the procedure for consideration and other organizational issues are defined in the Instructions on the procedure for holding the republican competition of children's creativity “Standardization and I”, approved by Decree of the State Standard of Ukraine dated October 7, 2022 No. 97.

Three prizes will be awarded to the winners of the competition in each category for all age categories.

When summing up the results, the project’s compliance with the established topic and the completeness of its disclosure, originality of presentation and quality of design are assessed.

The winners of the competition are awarded diplomas and prizes.
