The theme for World Metrology Day 2022 is "Metrology in the digital age"

The celebration of World Metrology Day is a recognition of the results of the professional activities of metrologists from all over the world, because all aspects of the life and activities of modern society depend to a certain extent on the accuracy, unity and reliability of measurements, contributing to the development of economic, scientific and cultural ties.

Along with measurement accuracy and reliability, metrology provides the confidence and trust we all need, providing a strong foundation for producing high-quality products and increasing our readiness to face the challenges of tomorrow.

The theme for World Metrology Day 2022 is "Metrology in the Digital Age". This topic was chosen because digital technology has revolutionized our community and is one of the most exciting trends in society today.

All over the world, national metrology institutes are constantly improving the science of measurement by developing and testing new measurement methods at the required level of sophistication. National metrology institutes participate in measurement comparisons coordinated by the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM) to ensure the reliability of measurement results worldwide.

In the period from May 16 to May 20, a number of events dedicated to the celebration of the World Metrology Day will be held in the Polotsk CSMC.
